In your earlier post you mentioned that you've had a supernatural experience that had made you believe in God even more.

Let me ask you a question, please answer honestly:

If you had a similar experience that assured you that is OK to walk off the edge of the building, would you do it? I am not interested if you believe that you will be rewarded with new life after falling to your death or resurrection for obeying, etc.

I am asking would you walk off confident that the laws of physics will be suspended for you and you will not plummet to your death to the ground?

Your honest answer may even help you clarify the depth of your faith.

I do not believe I would ever be told it is safe to walk off the edge of a building, but if you want an example, Satan promised Jesus that he would be saved should he jump off a tall mountain. You know the rest.

The astute among us have no inclination of how low in IQ they actually are in comparison to God's capacity. What they cannot explain they write off as a hoax.

As expected, you totally dodged the question. Please be honest with yourself first and in turn with us.

Let me repeat it in a simple form:

Based on your faith, strengthened by a personal supernatural experience, would you walk off the edge of a building if a similar experience assured you it’s ok to do so? Would you ignore the laws of physics and the fact, tested and reinforced by many more personal experiences, that you will plummet to the ground to your death?

It’s a simple YES/NO question.

No need to involve Jesus or Satan, or whatever promises one made to the other. It pertains to you today.

Unless you are trying to tell me that Satan can fake that supernatural experience and deceive you. In which case I would call to question the validity of the experience that strengthened your faith in a first place...

Please answer honestly, YES or NO.

I could be, yet this has zero effect on the merrits of the story.

Am I to just pick and choose what to believe just because your "mountains of evidence" apparently say otherwise?

Well, then be equally critical to the physical world bound by said "mountains of evidence". Don't just pick and choose.

Never get on an elevator, drive a car or board a plane - they are ALL governed by the same fundamentals the literal flood account invalidates.

thetrueone only calls to question the validity of an extraordinary claim; it is the Claimants burden to prove it...

It's the intermingling of spiritual and physical worlds that creates such a FUBAR mess.

Literal Bible believers use the "miracle" laws of the spiritual world to describe and justify events in the physical realm.

It would be equally ineffective to ask why angels and God do not fall to earth due to gravity or what creates the lift under their wings....

PLEASE, keep them separate.

EDIT:

People only go by what they know and can measure. The Flood was an unnatural event

OK now! An unnatural event known and measured by what?

There are at least 6 completely different and not interdependent ways to prove that the flood, as described, could not have happened. All based on mountains of academic work, proof and worldwide consensus.

There is only one way to make it plausible by blurring the hard stops and replacing them with writings of an origin dated centuries after the purported event....

North Korea is punishing citizens who didn’t cry during the orchestrated public mourning over the death of Kim Jong Il, sentencing them to six months in a labor-training camp, according to a report.

The South Korea-based Daily NK newspaper said authorities have held “criticism sessions” for those who “transgressed” during organized weeping in the wake of the dictator’s death.

It said North Koreans accused of criticizing the world’s only hereditary totalitarian regime are being sent to re-education camps or being banished with their families to remote rural areas.

The news website quoted a source from North Hamkyung province saying: “The authorities are handing down at least six months in a labor-training camp to anybody who didn’t participate in the organized gatherings during the mourning period, or who did participate but didn’t cry and didn't seem genuine.”

The funeral of Kim Jong-Il, the leader of one of the most isolated places on earth. NBC's Adrienne Mong reports.

The source added that the recriminations "created a vicious atmosphere of fear.”

Authorities are also forcing citizens to idolize Kim Jong Il’s youngest son, Kim Jong Un, newly-installed as leader.

“Every day from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., they have vehicles for broadcast propaganda parked on busy roads full of people going to and from work, noisily working to proclaim Kim Jong Un’s greatness,” the source said.

The website also reported that school children and factory workers are being made to study “the greatness of Kim Jong Un” in education sessions “packed so tightly together without a break that people are just exhausted.”

It added that it was able to verify the public trial claim, but noted authorities had earlier ordered the shooting of anyone who attempted to defect to South Korea during the mourning period.
